YAKIMA, Wash.-- A fundraiser was held today for an 8-year-old Selah boy who is battling leukemia.
Jackson Nettleship was diagnosed 2 months ago and is undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital in Seattle. Mistie Gillihan, a friend of the family organized a yard sale to raise money for Jackson and his family.
So far they've raised over $1,200 but they hope that number will continue to grow.
"We've just had over and above what we ever expected in donations from people," said Gillihan.
"Is there a goal for you guys, or just raise as much as you can," we asked.
"Just raise as much as we can," she said.
Gillihan says that Jackson just got out of isolation but is still not making his own blood cells. Visit the FaceBook page set up for Jackson to donate.
