Ellensburg, WA--- Central Washington cranked up the volume with its first scrimmage at fall camp Thursday afternoon. The 22nd ranked Wildcats looked solid on both sides of the ball.
Early on the defense took advantage of familiarity by picking off Ryan Robertson twice, while laying on the hard hat. As the scrimmage progressed, Robertson and the first team offense settling in, as he moved out of the pocket well to guide the offense. Afterwards, Robertson reflected on the positives he saw out of the 'O'.
Roberston said, "I thought we protected up front really well. I was able to throw the ball with enough time. And so I thought we did a good job with that... Just executing the offense."
Head coach Blaine Bennett said, "We are really getting on the same page. He understands what I like him to do out on the football field. And we're trying to find a couple wide receivers that can make some big plays for us. And create some mismatches for him out there in space."
