Minor League Baseball president shares his state of the game
PASCO, Wash. -- The Tri-City Dust Devils welcomed in the president of minor league baseball, Pat O'Conner. He is in town for a couple of nights to watch and learn how the Dust Devils put on a good show. Minor league baseball is more than just the game. It is about providing an experience, according to O'Conner. He said minor league baseball is in good hands by keeping up with technology.
"The state of the game is really good considering the economy we're in. You know the unemployment is still too high. We a collection of small businesses. As small businesses go, we really are doing quite well compared to the rest of the country. In today's society, this is no longer a spectator sport. It wants to be, the community and the fans want to be interactive. So we need to keep them as involved as we can through technology."
