RICHLAND, Wash.--Free computer learning classes offered. Computer 101 classes are being offered in Richland by the Computer Training Center. The first class was taught today at the Richland Public Library.
People will learn basic functions, networking, windows navigation and how to browse the Internet. Part of the training is to get people ready for job interviews.
Director of Computer Training Mark Dickson says "getting even the basic level job in retail or anything else, it may be a necessary skill for you to be able to operate a computer if you have not been taught that skill either at school or work in the past. Your options are pretty limited as to where to go to get that."
The class is open to people of all ages. Instructors are also teaching people about computer safety and how to get rid of viruses.
