Central Washington offense missed chances

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Central Washington is recovering from a week one loss. Friday Texas A&M kKngsville beat the Wildcats 21-10. The offense totaled just 213 yards compared to A&M Kingsville's 354.

A turning point for the worse was in the 4th quarter down by four and driving. Ryan Robertson turned it over a play after throwing incomplete to Justin Helwege. Robertson said, "I missed Justin on that streak that was wide open and that could have been the game changer right there. If I hit him right there, he goes for six. Instead we turn around next play and the defensive line gets a hand on the ball and it's picked." Helwege added, "Once we get on page and once we get going right away, we're going to have some success. Starting off slow was probably what really got us today."
