WALLA WALLA, Wash.--Woman stabbed to death. Early Tuesday morning a woman was stabbed to death after a fight. The two had been texting each other and planned to meet and settle the argument.

The suspect, victim and two other people showed up at the Sears parking lot around 1:15 a.m. Police say Angela Effinger,29,  stabbed Audrey Brewer,18, once in the neck. She died a short time later. Police say they were fighting over a boyfriend.

Walla Walla Police Officer Tim Bennett says "he had a relationship with the suspect. They had two children in common and he began seeing the victim. Which upset the suspect and they decided to have a fight."

Police arrested Effinger at her apartment. They say she admitted to fighting with Brewer and was booked at the Walla Walla County Jail for first degree murder.

Neighbors said they did not want to talk about what happened because they were afraid of retaliation of gang members. Walla Walla Police say the murder is not gang-related, but a lot of people we spoke with disagreed.
