RICHLAND, Wash. -- Play with excellence. It is the Richland Bomber football motto. Friday night on SWX they will bring it to Fran Rish Stadium. After losing in the playoffs to Ferris, the team did not just take solace that the loss was to the eventual state champion. Instead they packed up for an intense summer football camp in Boise.

The Richland defense says they always work hard to stop the run, and the bombers have guys with experience doing just that. Six of their front seven are seniors. "We're always vocal with each other. I mean, one of the things that comes with being so close is if somebody is not doing something right, somebody is going to get on you. We all just hold each other to high expectations," said senior linebacker Sawyer Powell. "The expectations are high at Richland because it's Richland, and the culture of our football program and our community. Our fans expect us to do well," added head coach Mike Neihold.
