World-record manual attempt in Kennewick too close to call

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- 21-year-old Casey Singleton attempted to break the world record for the longest skateboard manual, which is riding on the back two wheels. KNDU shot the entire nine tenths of a mile and unofficially timed about 4 minutes and 55 seconds, which is too close to call because Guinness shows the record is 4:55.4.

After the attempt, Singleton said, "I really want to get in the book of world records. So, I don't know, I was real happy. I started boarding when I was in 3rd grade and I'm a junior in college now, so it's just muscle memory, building that muscle memory from year-to-year."

Singleton will submit our tape. We'll follow up with the official results.
