YAKIMA, Wash.-- The City of Yakima is unveiling results of a survey today about city parks. They passed it out back in June and finally have the results. Now, they'll share them in a series of meetings starting today.
City Parks and Recreation says the survey helps them update their comprehensive plan for parks based on what the community wants and needs. The survey went out to 4,300 randomly selected households.
They asked several questions about how people use the areas now and allowed people to rate programs and parks. They also included a section where people could suggest ideas for improving their services.
They'll present the results in several meetings across Yakima. The first one is tonight at Yakima City Hall. There will also be meetings in the Southeast Community Center on September 19th and the Harman Senior Center on September 20th. All of these meetings will start at 5:30 PM.
