KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Kennewick School District says one of their teachers died overnight. Here is a copy of a press release just sent to KNDU.
"The Kennewick School District was saddened to learn today that Henry Lee, a Chemistry and Health Occupation Teacher at Southridge High School, has passed away. Kennewick Police are investigating, and at this time we have no details as to the cause of death.
A meeting was held at Southridge this morning to inform staff. An announcement was then made over the intercom to students and the building held a moment of silence. Counselors have set up a grief center in the library for both staff and students. Counselors are also visiting students who had classes with Mr. Lee in their classrooms throughout the day. A poster has been created with Mr. Lee's picture, which will be hung outside the library for students and staff to sign and express their feelings. Mr. Lee taught at Southridge for two years. Staff members remember him as being very positive, funny, and well-liked."
