PROSSER, Wash. -- A motorcycle careens into a truck, leaving one man dead and another hospitalized.
The crash happened at the intersection of Evans and Hinzerling Road just north of Prosser around 7:30 PM Wednesday.
Police say 39-year-old John Loewen of Vancouver, Washington was riding his motorcycle too fast. He was unable to stop at the stop sign at the intersection, and slammed into a truck, knocking it over. The truck flipped and rolled down an embankment.
The driver of that truck, 41 year old Dennis Ellinghousen of Sunnyside was ejected and suffered cuts to his face and head. Loewen died at the scene. Ellinghousen was taken to Kadlec Medical Center and was listed in satisfactory condition Thursday evening.
