YAKIMA, Wash.-- The Central Washington State Fair is up and running for its third day Sunday.
Many are taking advantage of not only the festivities but also the opportunity to protect themselves from the flu.
The Yakima Health District has their annual Flu Shot Booth in the Sundome this year.
Shots are $30 and different pharmacies from around Yakima are administering them.
The Health District says it's an easy way to get people vaccinated without taking them away from a day of fun.
"People often don't get a flu shot because of timing and so they're already here, just takes just a few seconds to just fill out a form, get a shot. And then the distraction of the fair is just really easy," said Ruth Rosenkranz, Community Health Immunization Specialist with the Yakima Health District.
You can get your flu shot in the Sundome everyday of the fair from 11am to 7 at night.
You don't need health insurance to get a shot, but Medicare Part B is accepted.
