Carson McKole named Player-of-the-Week

SPOKANE, Wash. (Sept. 26) -- Central Washington University junior Carson McKole (Oak Harbor, Wash.) has been named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Week for her efforts during the week of Sept. 19-25.

McKole had a hand in two of the three goals the Wildcats scored this past week. She had an assist in a 2-1 win over Western Oregon on Thursday, and then scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory against Saint Martin's just 99 seconds into the match, her team-leading fourth tally of the season.

McKole was clearly the most aggressive Wildcat over the two-game stretch as she was credited with 12 of her team's 29 shot attempts. The junior from Oak Harbor ranks second in the GNAC in shots (29), and shots per game (3.62), and has the third-highest goal total in the conference.

The Wildcats are 4-2-2 on the season, 3-1-0 in GNAC, and next host Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. Pacific.
