PASCO, Wash.--House across from school busted for drugs. The house was right across the street from Longfellow Elementary School in Pasco. It happened at 304 North 10th Street.
Reid McCullough,54, and Charlene Kitchen, 47, were arrested and now face drug charges. They both have a history of drug related crimes.
The Tri-City Drug Task Force found several ounces of meth, crack cocaine, 9 marijuana plants, mushrooms and more than 140 different pain killers.
Investigators were especially concerned because of how close the drug house was to the school. Commander Trevor White of the Drug Task Force says "state statute puts into perspective. They say any activity involving narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school is an enhancement. So yes, being directly across the street from the school not only does the state care but we care."
White says the two people had been delivering to adults, and not children. The task force had been monitoring the home for months.
The couple was charged Monday in Franklin County Court. Officers say other people could have been involved. At this point, they are not releasing any more information.
