Bye week for Central Washington comes at a good time
ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Central Washington football is coming off a bye week after losing their first three games. The team has been able to use that time to heal and refocus. Central has been through both the good and bad of streaks, So they are trying to stay even-keeled and focus on the next opponent, which is Simon Fraser at home Saturday.
"I think that's a challenge as a coach. In anything you do, whether you're on a big win, or after a big loss, we need to be able to turn the page, focus on the next competition, make sure you're motivating your players, make sure you get their mind right. Traditionally I don't like an early bye week but it fit just right for us. We were able to acclimate into the academic side. It was our first week of school," said Blaine Bennett, Central Washington head coach.
