More description of attempted luring suspect

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick Police have released new, updated information on a man accused of attempting to lure two girls yesterday. They say yesterday morning, a white man in an older, white 2 door truck with a red stripe across it's body, drove up to two Hawthorne Elementary students who were walking near Hood and Morain St. and told them to "get in the car". The girls ran to a nearby apartment. The suspect made no attempt to grab or follow them. He just drove away from the area.

The girls say he had gray and black in his hair and beard (full beard with mustache). The top of his head was bold, but he had hair around the sides. He may be a little heavier set, with somewhat "pudgy" facial features. His truck was described as having a white canopy that was level with the roof of the truck. It looked "dingy" and had larger wheels with "messed up" rims.
