KENNEWICK, Wash.--Duck race brings big crowd. Hundreds of rubber ducks were released into the Columbia River for the Mid-Columbia Rubber Duck Race.
The event is sponsored by six local rotary clubs. They're raising money for several local charities. The winner of the race got a free car. Chairman Greg Holben says "the money goes towards local charities, scholarships for local students. Charities like the Canned Food Drive, Coats for Kids amongst others."
The duck races have been going on in Columbia Park for more than 23 years. They've raised more than $2,000,000.00 for different charities.
