PASCO, Wash.--Bazaar booth helping people internationally. An indoor holiday market kicked off this weekend in Pasco. The event was hosted by the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church. There were 24 different indoor booths. One of the vendors is helping people internationally.
This group gets crafts and supplies from people they visit in Guatemala. Then they come back to the U.S. and sell different crafts locally. All the money made goes right back to families in need in Guatemala.
Patricia Franz says "we try to help the economy in Guatemala in the area we go. So all the proceeds, everything all the money we take in for the Guatemala items goes directly back to Guatemala."
Patricia has been doing this with friends and some church members for several years. They are planning a trip back to Guatemala in November. They have been able to bring back several thousand dollars over the years. The profits made every year have been from the Saint Patrick's and Saint Joseph's Bazaar.
