YAKIMA, Wash. -- A known gang member was shot in Yakima, Tuesday afternoon. Police say a 20-year-old Hispanic man was walking near the intersection of Clark and Roosevelt Avenues in Yakima at about 1:35 pm. They believe that a suspect, or multiple suspects walked up to the man and shot one round. They say he suffered multiple internal injuries. He was taken to a local hospital but will likely be transported to Harborview Medical Center.

Police are having a difficult time gathering information about the suspect(s). They say a green, 4-door vehicle was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting, but police have yet to find it. If you have any information you're asked to call the Yakima Police Department at 575-6200.
