No charges filed against Ki-Be Principal

Posted: Updated:

KIONA BENTON, Wash. -- The Benton County Prosecutor has decided not to file charges against the principal at Ki-Be High School.

Wayne Barrett was accused of threatening to cut a rosary off a student's neck with a pocket knife. Because the student did not report the incident right away, and said he thought the principal was playing around, the prosecutor found he did not violate the law. The law states the principal would have to be intimidating the student and causing alarm for the student's safety.
