KENNEWICK, Wash., -- With Halloween just over a week away, a lot of people's minds are on the same thing...candy.
From November 1st to November 4th, local dentists will again be taking donations of Halloween candy for a fundraiser called 'Operation Cash for Candy' for soldiers overseas.
Kids will receive one dollar per pound of candy donated to the cause.
Not only does it promote good dental health but the message it delivers is nothing short of 'sweet.'
"I just think it's a great opportunity to support our troops," says Dr. Rolf Wuerch DDS of Advanced Endodontic Care. "It's wonderful to allow these kids to be able to do their part by sacrificing some of their candy to help those that are protecting our freedom."
In Yakima, Yakima Pediatric Dentistry is participating. They are located at 3909 Creekside Loop, Suite 140.
