KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Man accused of assaulting girlfriend is arrested. Police arrested a man last night after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
It happened at 911 North Cleveland Street in Kennewick. Kennewick Police arrested 35-year old Salvador Magana who got into a verbal argument and flashed a kitchen knife at his girlfriend.
He left the home without harming her. The girlfriend called 911 after he left, and police went to the home to investigate. Police found Magana a block away from the home. He was arrested and taken to the Benton County Jail. Police continue their investigation.
Kennewick Police Officer Ron Salter says "the male had actually returned to the residence or near by and was taken into custody without incident and he was booked for felony assault." Magana is on a 72 hour hold and could face second degree assault charges.
