KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Thursday started the local high school fall playoffs. Starting with the CBBN 3-A district soccer sub-regionals, Hanford takes down Eastmont 2-1 and West Valley shuts out Pasco 4-0. Saturday afternoon Hanford will play Kamiakin at Lampson Stadium. West Valley will play at University in Spokane. In 2-A CWAC, Selah beats Othello 1-0. Ephrata defeats Ellensburg 2-1. Saturday afternoon Selah will play at Prosser. Ephrata will play at East Valley. 

In high school volleyball, starting with the CBBN 4-A, Wenatchee beats Moses Lake in straight sets and Walla Walla defeats Eisenhower three sets to one. Saturday Wenatchee, Walla Walla and Chiawana head to Richland for the district tournament. In 2-A CWAC, Grandview beats Toppenish in straight sets with the same outcome for Ephrata over Ellensburg, 3-0. Saturday East Valley joins those winners for the district tournament at Selah.
