YAKIMA, Wash.-- Sunday was the last day of the season for you to get your fresh fruits and vegetables from the Yakima Farmers' Market.
Like every other Sunday, people packed Downtown Yakima for the fresh produce, food, crafts, and entertainment. This year marks a successful season for the Farmers' Market, selling about $360,000 worth of goods. Organizers say they've also seen just under 100 vendors in all, the most so far.
"I would like to thank all the public that did come out. Our average this year was a little over 5,000 people per day," said Don Eastridge, the market manager.
Eastridge says they're already starting to plan for next year, hoping to have some exciting new vendors and activities.
