TIETON, Wash.-- The 2nd Annual Day of the Dead Celebration in Tieton took place Sunday at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse.
Children and families came out to view different art work, and displays made by local students and professional artists. Mighty Tieton has been working with local students on the artwork as a way to bring them closer together.
"By engaging the local young people it kind of creates more of that community sense and they have more of a tie to this place," said Sylvia Imbrock with Mighty Tieton.
Also on display was a large scale sand painting, done by a Mexican artist who has painted similar works for both the Seattle and Tacoma Art Museums.
