KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Car show raises money for cancer patient. Friends and coworkers rallied together to help a man who is battling stomach cancer.
It was called Daris's Show and Shine Fundraiser. It was put on along Columbia Drive in Kennewick on Sunday. People donated money to enter their cars in the contest and to come see the models.
Several different car club groups attended the event to display modified vehicles. Lowcost Car Club President Javier Gonzales says "he's really into cars. He supports the whole automobile industry and a lot of these guys are in it big time."
Money raised goes towards treatment and medication for Darius. He is currently in the hospital undergoing treatments in Arizona.
