BURBANK, Wash.-- Man builds giant pumpkin. A man in Burbank has built a giant pumpkin. He did it on Saturday with some extra metal he had laying around his yard. The giant pumpkin is made entirely of steel and weighs more than 10,000 pounds.
He says it only took him a few hours to put it together, and it's perfect to share for the holidays. Jerry Harris says "we have 18 grandchildren and most of them live locally here. So they'll be coming by Trick-or-treating and get their picture taken by the giant jackolantern."
The pumpkin is also bigger than most cars. The couple plans to re-create the pumpkin. During Christmas turn it into an ornament. For Easter, they want to make the ball into a giant Easter egg to share with family and the community.
