KENNEWICK, Wash.- A man on a mission to raise awareness for homeless veterans is braving freezing temperatures and thousands of miles.
Allen Mullins from Dalton, Georgia decided ten months ago to walk to state capitals across the country, armed with only a sleeping bag and a Captain America costume.
He passed through Kennewick on his way towards Olympia which will be his 39th capital.
He says he just wants to inspire people to help homeless veterans any way they can.
@"They have fundraisers, you can donate time, if you have a small business you can help with their fundraiser. Not so much your money, but just your time and effort more than your money," says Mullins.
Mullins says before he started zig zagging through America, he donated his house to the Wounded Warrior Project.
