Protect your presents

RICHLAND, Wash.-  Children today are much more tech savvy then they were five or ten years ago.

But it turns out they're still just as destructive as ever.

The Kindle Fire, cameras, and smart phone attachments are in high demand this holiday season, but they can be breakable.

Managers at Staples say when your shopping for the newest gadget consider protecting your present.

"If it's a cell phone they have protective covers for them. Anything touch screen should have a protective cover on the touch screen. If you happen to get a lab top you definitely want to get them some kind of case to carry it in," says Staples General Manager Scott Brewer.

Brewer says buying a high tech gift can be a great investment, but only if it lasts past new year's.
