Leftover Turkey Trot hits Greenway on Saturday

YAKIMA, Wash.-- The second annual Leftover Turkey Trot hits Sarg Hubbard Park along the Yakima Greenway on Saturday.

The 5k event doesn't just benefit the Greenway, but Camp Prime Time as well. The camp is a place for seriously ill and disabled children to experience the outdoors with their families. While the event is only two years old, the camp thinks it has a bright future.

"We get a lot of support from the community for this event and it's building every year. So, I think it'll become a great annual event for the Yakima Valley," says Board Member Ralph Berthon.

The event starts at Sarg Hubbard Park at 10 AM. You can register there between 9:00 and 9:45 that morning. It's 20 dollars for adults and seven for children. You can also preregister on the camp's website campprimetime.org or by phone at 248-2854.
