RICHLAND, Wash.—After braving the large crowds for Black Friday, if you're 21 years or older a glass of wine may sound pretty good, and that's exactly what many local wineries have in mind.
Wineries are hitting two groups of people, the worn out shoppers and visitors. Triple-A expect 42 and a half million Americans to hit the road and businesses want to draw in a chunk of that number.
Friday through the weekend some wineries in the area are offering new releases and discounts. Some tasting room managers say the deals could double their business for the holiday weekend. A Bookwalter representative says to kick it off they have a special Black Friday event.
"Blackwalter Friday is our way of giving back to all of our club members and the community and to do some great wine sales, offering fund ideas for Christmas presents and the holidays," says Kendra Miller, Bookwalter.
Another event this weekend is the Rattle Snake Hills Annual Thanksgiving in Wine Country.
