New bill would slap fee on hydraulic project permits
YAKIMA, Wash.-- Lawmakers in Washington are looking at a bill that would slap a new fee on hydraulic project permits. It's required for construction projects that want to use or change the flow of water.
The bill would add a 150-dollar fee to apply for the permit. The bill's supporters worry the program would be diminished without that fee. Critics say the program needs to be updated before anyone takes action.
