YAKIMA, Wash.-- The curtain goes up this week at the Capitol Theatre, for a performance of the musical Young Frankenstein. The musical is a spoof of the classic Frankenstein horror films, and is based on the movie of the same name by comedian Mel Brooks.
The theatre says the play has some pretty large production values with plenty of costumes, sets, and even lightning. The theatre says you don't have to be a Mel Brooks fan to enjoy the play.
"If you're a Broadway fan, you're going to love it. If you're a Mel Brooks fan, you're going to love it. If you just need a couple hours of laughs and live entertainment, this is the show for you," says Nela Sheppard of the Capitol Theatre.
If you would like to see young Frankenstein, it's playing at the Capitol Theatre tomorrow night at 7:30 and Wednesday night at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets are available on the theatre's website and start at about 15 dollars.
