Eagle Toy Drive and 12 Day Camp-out Come to an End

KENNEWICK, WA. -- A radio DJ from The Eagle 106.5 ended his 12 day camp-out today, braving the cold for the second annual Eagle Toy Drive.

Greeted by a team of friends and coworkers, Jaxon came off his post at 10 am today.

The Eagle Toy Drive took in far more toys than last year... enough to actually jam-pack a semi-trailer with donations.

Jaxon said his trick to beating the cold, was seeing so much support from people who helped the cause. He told us, "the generosity of the people of the Columbia Basin, it warms you up, literally. When you're cold and somebody comes up, a little kid hands you a toy- that warms you up, it's great."

Donations from the eagle toy drive will be distributed locally by the United Way. Jaxon says he plans on continuing the drive next year, but his immediate plan was to enjoy a hot shower.
