Gun sales expected to soar

PASCO, Wash.-- -

Gun sales expected to soar. Gun sales are expected to see a big jump this year after sales increased by 32% in December.

This prediction was illustrated at the gun show at the TRAC Center in Pasco over the weekend. Show owners says people are buying guns before lawmakers enforce stricter laws.

Sports Connection Promoter Brian Kjensmo says a lot of people right now are buying firearms because they're concerned about possible law changes. He says there's been a boost in the variety of guns sold. "You see some semi-automatic rifles, a lot of bolt action rifles, you know that you have to work the bold every time to chamber around. A lot of the old lever action collectible firearms," said Kjensmo.

The next Sports Connection gun show will be coming up in February in Richland.
