KENNEWICK, WA. -- The 13th annual Regional Economic Outlook Event was held Wednesday morning in the Kennewick.

The event is an opportunity for local businesses sectors to present personal research and experiences measuring economic growth and development in the Tri-Cities.

Job growth, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, retail, energy and finance were discussed, presenting a lot of good local results.

Carl Adrian, the President and CEO of the Tri-City Development Council said, "the outlook here locally is very positive. We just heard that even though we had layoffs at Hanford the past year, there still was a net increase in job growth of 2.3 %."

250 people were in attendance this year. After a morning of presentations, the President and CEO of RBC Wealth Management, John Taft, gave a keynote address providing an overview of the country's financial markets.
