Snow has truckers worried about mountain passes

UNION GAP, Wash.-- Dozens of truckers packed GearJammer Truck Stop in Union Gap for the second day in a row Wednesday.

Tuesday, Snoqualmie Pass was closed for about seven hours causing major delays for a lot truckers trying to get to the Westside.

The pass closed for only about 40 minutes early Wednesday, but a lot of truckers still stopped in Union Gap and were concerned with it closing again.

"I'm going to try to make it but there's a possibility I won't make it on time but we try to do what we can, but I'm not going to upset my truck for it," said Jeff Risser, a trucker headed to Seattle.

Department of Transportation officials say they're expecting six to ten more inches of snowfall Wednesday night with pretty good winds.

So there's a strong chance Snoqualmie may close later on.
