Americans face-off against Spokane Friday night

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Citty Americans are out for revenge against their rivals Spokane Friday night.

The Chiefs beat the Americans for the first time this season last Sunday. The loss came after Tri-City scored eleven goals against Vancouver. It was also two games after Tri-City's franchise record 13 game winning streak. Players say they might have overlooked their rivals last time.

"They came out a lot harder then they did before and what we expected. I think we took them a little bit too light but you know that happens sometimes when you're in that winning groove and you're beating up on teams," said Derek Ryckman, Americans defender.

"They got a couple of bounces that went their way, and they're a well coached team. Two well coached teams going at it, two hard working teams. They just got the best of the bounces that game," said Eric Comrie, Americans goalie.
