Sportsman Show had a huge turnout despite bad weather

PASCO, Wash.-- -

Sportsman Show had a huge turnout despite bad weather. The impacts of the weather we've seen throughout this weekend didn't affect the annual Sportsman Show in Pasco.

Every year it's held at the TRAC Center. Many events did cancel because of the snow and ice, including some vendors that were expected to be part of the show, but the bulk of them still participated. Organizers also say they still saw a huge visitor turnout this year.

Sportsman Show Promoter Merle Shuyler says "we had a number of exhibitors get here late as of yesterday. They didn't even make it for the Friday day, but they got here, got set up and they're here."

Organizers expect about 10,000 people attended. This is the 19th year they've held the event. Now staff are getting ready for their show in Yakima next month.
