KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police have released the name of the woman who escaped the fire in a mobile home just off the 4800 block of West Clearwater Ave. early Monday morning.

They say 49-year-old Aireen C. Upton was able to climb out a window but was seriously injured. The Benton County Coroner is scheduled to perform an autopsy today on the person found dead inside the home. He and the Kennewick Fire Marshal believe she was Upton's mother, Elvira Pidcock.

Upton is currently at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, in critical intensive care. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
