Tri-City Americans fan honored

Posted: Updated:

A Tri-City Americans super fan was honored Tuesday at the Kennewick Police Department.

Many people probably recognize Jimmy Butcher for his famous "Woo Hoo!" at the hockey games. Tuesday afternoon, Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg presented Jimmy with a certificate, a police medallion, and a photo of the two men at his job at the Albertson's on Clearwater Avenue.

Jimmy was very excited about the honor. He was recognized because of his work fundraising for the Special Olympics and supporting local events and causes.  Jimmy even sang the national anthem at this years polar plunge this past weekend.
