Republican gubernatorial candidate would redefine marriage
YAKIMA, Wash- A Republican candidate for governor passed through Yakima again Tuesday. Shahram Hadian is traveling through eastern Washington this week meeting with local pastors.
Monday he was in Olympia speaking against the state's same sex marriage proposal. He says the economy is a top priority but moral issues are linked to Washington's prosperity.
"I do believe we're in an economic crisis but I also believe we're in a moral crisis and I believe the last thing to do when you're in a moral crisis is to further attack the family and further attack the bond which is marriage", says Hadian.
Hadian says that while the economy is one of his biggest priorities, the state biggest budgetary issue is the economy. We'll continue to give the other candidates a chance to speak on the issues as they pass through our area.
