Police arrest one woman for DUI on a golf course

RICHLAND, Wash. -

Police arrest one woman for DUI and multiple car accidents near a golf course. A woman is in jail after being involved in 2 hit and run accidents and causing severe damage to a popular golf course. The accident happened very early Sunday morning around 12:30.

Police say they've charged 30 year old Alison Lambie of Richland for DUI, 2 counts of hit-and-run and possession of marijuana. They believe she is responsible for 2 multi-car accidents along George Washington Way.

Lambie left the scene and drove onto the Columbia Point Golf Course where her car destroyed parts of the course. Richland Police Sgt. Brian Ruegsegger says this type of arrest is not common. "It's pretty rare to be in two separate hit and runs then flee across a golf course to try and get away rather than stay on the road," said Ruegsegger.

Police arrested Lambie after she hit a tree near the 18th hole.

One driver who was hit was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for injuries. Lambie was also transported to the hospital.
