Kennewick Police fill the last opening

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA-For the first time in nine years, the Kennewick Police Department is at full strength.

Police Chief Ken Hohenberg Wednesday swore-in Joshua Riley as the city's 90th police officer.

Riley is 12 year veteran of the Air Force. He spent three tours of duty in Iraq before he and his wife, Shannon, who's originally from Kennewick, decided to make the Tri-Cities their home.

"That was a big part of our decision, to have a foundation, and Shannon being from here," Riley says. "It's a great place to raise a family and a great place for my kids to grow up."

Riley and his wife have three young sons and a fourth son on the way.
