Super Bowl means big business for local bars and restaurants
YAKIMA, Wash.-- Restaurants and bars around Yakima were preparing for big crowds Sunday.
Many owners say the Super Bowl is great for business and they always see a pretty big increase in people coming through their doors.
The owner at Jack-Sons Sports Bar and Clubhouse in Yakima says he expected to see over 300 people at his place.
"Very good for me. I wish you had a Super Bowl every Sunday but like I said, I'm sad to see football go because this year's been a very good year with Sunday's and Monday's for football," said Steve Swanson, owner of Jack-Sons Sports Bar and Clubhouse.
Swanson says he expects to see a 10% increase in sales. Normally he has a pretty big crowd for Sunday Night Football, so the Super Bowl only adds to that.
