Tri-Cities restaurants and bars see huge Super Bowl turnout
RICHLAND, Wash. -
Tri-Cities restaurants and bars see huge Super Bowl turnout. Some owners say Super Bowl Sunday brings in up to five times more profit than on regular days. They've been preparing for weeks for the big game.
Jackson's Sports Bar Owner Chuck Fisher says "we prepare Super Bowl weeks ahead with reservations and the booking and the scheduling of it and then of course obviously the ordering because you got some specialty foods when you're adding a two-foot hot dog chili cheese dog. It takes a little preparations." When we stopped by all of the tables were full.
The Towne Crier also had a packed house on Sunday. "Every year is fantastic. It is 4 to 5 times what a normal Sunday is and it's just a great time to give away tons of prizes and we're just having a great time here," said owner Paul Chartrand. The Towne Crier also played games during the Super Bowl with another Richland bar on Skype.
