KENNEWICK, Wash. --   State Farm Insurance in Kennewick is planning a blood drive to remember one of their employees, Lana Oslin.

The 41 year old died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving, shortly after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
The single mother of two went into surgery, and didn't recover.

Micki McKinnon, an agent at the Kennewick office wanted to work with Red Cross in her honor.

"I had known her more professionally than personally but it really brought home as a single mom with two young children that we really want to be more aware of the needs in our society about having blood available for surgery," says McKinnon.

The blood drive is February 16th from 12-6:00PM  at the State Farm office on 3104 West Kennewick Avenue. Call 783-6195 for an appointment.
