KENNEWICK, Wash. -

Charity train ride for local food banks. Dozens of families who donated canned goods got to take a tour through Columbia Park on a train Saturday.

Students from Southridge High School's Key Club group were working with the Kiwanis of the Horse Heaven Hills Club. They were raising canned food donations for the Tri-City Food Bank.

Key Club Lt. Gov. Conner Mertens says "this is really a rough time for Tri-Cities Food Banks because donations usually start to drop and it's kind of hard to feed everyone at this time."

The students are planning to do more charity projects in the Spring.
