YAKIMA, Wash.-- Two men led police on a chase across Yakima on Monday. The Washington State Patrol responded to a call about a burglary on Locust Road in Naches just before 11.
Officers caught up with the suspects' car on 40th Avenue, chasing them through city streets and on the highway along with Sheriff's Deputies and Yakima Police. They finally cornered the suspects on East P Street. The men in the car ran but officers caught both of them.
"One got about a hundred feet and the other got about four blocks. But they both got caught, one just more tired than the other..." says Sgt. Max James of the Yakima County Sheriff's Office.
They were able to catch the men because a suspicious neighbor called in with a detailed description of the car. Officers say vigilant neighbors are a great defense against burglars.
