KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Tri-Cities Fever players are back on the field. Over the weekend the team started practice.

Coach Adam Shackleford and his guys are two weeks from their season opener. It is against Everett at the Toyota Center. SWX will have live broadcast. Still on the team's agenda is finalizing the roster. It has to drop to 25 by Sunday. The team says they are excited to be back.

"We've got a more talented group as a whole then I think we've ever had since I've been here. I think our three quarterbacks are all very good. Obviously our veterans, their advantage is they know the system," Shackleford said.

"It's real exciting man. I've been waiting for a long time for this and every night saying....waking up I've just been like ok when's the season gonna start. I'm just glad to be out here and excited," said Lionell Singleton, Fever cornerback.

"It feels good. There's a lot of competition out here. We got a lot of great guys. It's good to be back out here on the field just learning the routine and getting back into things," said Brandon Wilson, Fever linebacker.
